In my work, I center my own experiences.

As I look in the mirror to better see and understand my Self,

I hold up the mirror so that WE can see the beauty of US.
As we are, not as others imagine us to be.

I hold up the mirror so that WE can see new ways of being and new ways of doing.
I hold up the mirror so that WE can imagine new possibilities for ourselves.
As a collective.

My vision is to continuously build creative projects that seek to impact, if not change, our lived experiences for the better --
work that inspires both critical thinking and action.

What might it look like for us to be free?

Some of my most impactful projects like One Drop and Professional Black Girl were funded almost exclusively by my community - individuals who love the work that I do and want to support my ability to continue to do the work that I do. Movement Strategy Center (MSC) established the MirrorWork Creative Education for Liberation Special Interest Fund on my behalf as a way to continue to garner support for my work. In addition to individual donations, I am now able to also receive the support of foundations, corporations, and other organizations. By contributing to the MirrorWork Fund through MSC, your contribution will be considered a charitable donation for which you will be able to receive tax credit.
